You’ll learn to help plan activities for children from infancy to age 12 that inspire curiosity, creativity and healthy development. You’ll observe and support their growth, encourage problem-solving through play, and promote health, safety and inclusion in every setting. You’ll also build effective strategies for guiding children’s behaviour through positive communication and collaboration. A Special Education module prepares you to support children with diverse needs, disabilities or developmental delays.

Your training includes a 240-hour practicum that lets you apply your skills while building confidence, experience and insight.
